Creating perforations

With the Create Perforation form (plan > Wells or plan > Well Pads) you can create an interval of perforations on your wellbore.

To create perforations:

1. Open the form and from and subsequently select the Well group, Well and Wellbore for which you want to create the perforations interval.
2. Start date/End date Select the start and end date for the perforations.
3. Start MD/End MD Enter the values of the perforations interval along the wellbore ('From MD' and 'To MD' in the Well Table).
4. Wellbore diameter Diameter of the hole. This value is used to calculate the well index for input to a simulator.
5. Skin factor Enter the skin factor which is used in the Productivity Index (PI) computation.
6. Status Allows you to set whether the perforation is open or closed. 

Click Apply or OK to add the perforations to the wellbore. The perforations data can also be accessed via Perforations tab on the Well Table.
